@ Tammany Hall NYC These guys were The Realistics of their time (their time being the mid 00's) - the best band in NYC who didn't make it - whatever that meant. If it meant putting out an influential charting album and headlining a national tour, then I guess they and 99% of the bands we see never made it. But some of the songs on Way Past Used, I think their best record, are absolute classics of NYC rock and will hold up for years to come. And judging from the hearty and guttural reaction to them at this reunion show, they hold up pretty well in the present as well. theheadset.com |
