@ The Rock Shop, Brooklyn Scarce were one of my favorite and criminally under-recognized bands of the oh so glorious 90's. I think I first saw them in '93? Maybe at Maxwell's? Opening for whom? It must've been someone good. We all had crushes on Joyce, of course - girl bass player and all that. Deadsexy, their album from back then, ought to be in the Western Canon of that time with songs like 'Days Like This' which they played and 'All Sideways' which they didn't :( being highlights and frequent cd repeat plays in my dorm room.
