@ Fontana's NYC For a band that used to be called The Sad Little Stars, Max and Rachel joined by drummer Ian sure do play with unabashed joy. It's something that everyone who sees them finds absolutely infectious and infuses their crispy crunchy songs with just a dash of sweet fluff to make them go down all the more easier. I have to ask them next week (the second of a three week residency at Fontana's) if their name is based at all on Neil Strauss and his adventures in The Game. If so, I have to say their songs are pretty appropriate as they get in and out fast and hard with no sentiment and no mess - just scorching total destruction. thepioneersofseduction.com |
