@ Bowery Ballroom NYC Who knew Steve of Longwave looked so much like the long lost third brother of Hamilton of The Walkmen and Chris of Coldplay. Go figure. One thing's for sure, we can see just how animated his facial contortions are without the distracting effect of 4" of 'fro. Irregardless, no one was there for the hair - it was Longwave's major label coming out party. Local boys doing good again. Makes me damn proud to be an NYC'er - and Longwave is just as deserving of their hype as all the others. It's amazing how even with the whole Brooklyn sound catch-all tag, every band comes up with some twist on their sound. For Steve & co., it's space meets punk in a Spacehog kinda way.
