@ Fontana's NYC I told Emily last night that essentially she's the redheaded female modern day NYC James Brown, cuz there's no harder working faster hustling musician I know of out there. I first met here years ago when I was booking Midway later to become Rehab and she was just starting out. Like other bands who had residencies there, The Antlers and Jones St Station among others, she's cultivated a loyal and pretty raucous following which is easy to see why live as she puts on quite the sweaty and sexy performance. If she can elicit such reactions on and carve up these small stages, I can't wait til she hits the festival circuit. emilylong.net |
