@ Maxwell's NJ Opening for a legend like Evan Dando would either fill me with joy or dread - especially at $20 a pop for tickets - but The Canon Logic seemed to handle their role with aplomb. Not only did they warm up the frigidly air conditioned Maxwell's back room, but managed to somehow work themselves and us into a sweat. A lot of bands throw the 'melodic' descriptor around, but it really fits these guys - with power and hooks to spare. thecanonlogic.com |
